Dance Workshop with Renee Wight: Basic Intro to Jazz 2

Join local dance instructor Renee Wight for a fun and accessible series of dance workshops! Across four lively classes, Renee will introduce participants to the basics of tap, jazz, and line dancing, offering a welcoming space to move, learn, and enjoy.

Our second jazz class consists of more energetic steps and combinations incorporating fun rhythmic movements to music. Attending Intro to Jazz 1 is not required to attend Intro to Jazz 2. Focus will be on one's own individual style and expression while learning the basic jazz steps. Different dance styles such as Broadway, modern and musical theater will be taught. Participants will learn a fun, simple, upbeat and energetic routine.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing to allow movement, jazz shoes and/or sneakers, water bottle to stay hydrated. Whether you’re brand-new to dance or looking to refresh your skills, no experience is necessary. Each class is designed to be beginner-friendly, energetic, and supportive.
